Workshop »Architecture and Structure« Kaernten

Following an invitation to the Hochschule Kaernten, Spittal an der Drau, Austria, we gathered teaching staff and students from Kaernten, Cottbus / Germany and Biberach / Germany for a ten-day workshop. Prof. Gert Eilbracht (Kaernten), Prof. Karen Eisenloffel (Cottbus) and myself represented the teaching staff of the three universities, each one receiving support by teaching assistants. The participating students (a group of almost 100) with a background both in architecture and in structural engineering worked in mixed teams of three persons on the design for a „skywalk“ at a 200 m high dam. 

The cooperation was extremely fruitful. On the final day, we could celebrate a wide range of ideas for the exploration of the dam.
